Abstract No.18 Crib5 Velvet Fabric
Part artwork, part upholstery print, Abstract No.18 is built from loose black silhouettes and flashes of burnt orange on cream. The forms suggest birds, figures and masks without resolving into a single motif, leaving the design open enough to feel intriguing from every angle.
This painterly quality comes into its own across a sofa or long banquette, where the repeat reads as a continuous composition. On a single chair it becomes more intimate and sculptural. Use it with plaster tones and dark wood, or draw out the warmer notes with pieces from the orange upholstery fabric collection.
Abstract No.18 is printed on 100% polyester velvet with permanent Crib5 flame-retardant performance. A 40,000+ Martindale rub count gives it the strength required for domestic upholstery, hotel lounges, bar seating and restaurant interiors. For other tactile patterned options, explore our velvet upholstery fabric collection.
The cloth is 140cm wide and repeats at 28cm horizontally and vertically. It costs £65 per metre, or £85 with the optional soil and stain treatment. Begin with a £2 sample, then use the Abstract Crib5 velvet range to compare this figurative print with the collection’s more geometric designs.
